Bobby Davidson. New American Landscape (Still), 2021
In collaboration with the artist, LAUNCH F18 is delighted to participate in the release of Bobby Davidson's NFT, New American Landscape. Davidson's NFT release is in conjunction with his current online viewing room, Parasitic Capacitance. New American Landscape will be released to the public on Wednesday, August 4 at 2 PM (Eastern) and marks the first ever NFT collaboration for the gallery. This fall, LAUNCH F18 will launch a unique platform for showing and selling NFTs. This programming will host NFTs by artists represented by LAUNCH F18, as well as collaborations with artists from outside the gallery’s program. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements and collaborations as the gallery begins this new venture into a unique and exciting programming. We are honored to have this opportunity to work alongside Bobby Davidson to collaborate on our first presentation of a NFT, and promote such a unique and brilliant piece by the artist.
Bobby Davidson is a New York City based artist and cinematographer. His practice often dissects the practicality of anyone giving exploration. Through the use of photography, video, sculpture and installation, Davidson seeks out a greater meaning of perception, identity and consumption. His work has been exhibited with Sheila C. Johnson Design Center, New York, NY; MOMA PS1,New York, NY; The SCAD Museum of Art, Savannah, GA, Red Bull Arts, New York, NY; The Alabama Contemporary Art Center,Mobile, AL; Tsinghua University, Beijing, CHN; The Center for Photography at Woodstock, Woodstock, NY; Parsons Design Center, Shanghai,CHN and the Aperture Foundation, New York, NY; his work is part of the permanent collection at the SCAD Museum of Art, Yale University and the New School.
